Routines: Morning and Evening
I have started following a lot of the good advice given out by the (US centric) FlyLady. A lot is extremely prescriptive but works well as tried and tested set of routines for those trying to keep a house running smoothly.
Morning Routine
1. Get up and weigh
2. Shower and get dressed up to shoes, fix your hair and face
3. While you are in the bathroom Swish and Swipe (the loo and the basin)
4. Grab a load of laundry and start the washer
5. Check your calendar for today’s activities
6. Empty dishwasher to start your day
7. Eat something good for you and take your medicine and vitamins
8. Drink your water.
Evening Routine
This is the most important routine of your whole day. It helps your morning start off on a less stressed foot.
Start right after dinner. Don’t wait till the last minute to do this.
1. Lay out your clothes for tomorrow
2. Take a few minutes for yourself
3. Check your Calendar for Tomorrow’s Events
4. Spend 2 minutes clearing off your Hot Spots
5. Shine your sink
6. Wash your face, moisturize, brush your teeth and floss
7. Go to bed at a decent hour
