+1 for nature nappies. we costed the purchase of reusable and the energy to wash and dry them and went for disposable. we composted the used ones in our garden which reduced the environmental effect (no landfill).

www.thenappysite.co.uk is another excellent site for buying and selling used nappies.

You can still use Ebay if nappy is unused, but just pre-washed.

I heard this was part of an eBay policy not allowing the sale of used underwear (big in Japan apparently) - but this may be an urban myth! Silly people.

On a similar note, I can recommend the completely biodegradable Nature Nappies http://www.naty.com/naty.aspx and bags for when you can't be bothered with the reusables (the first few weeks, or when out for the day). I tried them with Lottie 5 years ago but they leaked a lot, but they seem to have had a redesign and work a treat for Katy. They make wipes now too, and all the products are more widely available.

Can't believe why EBay don't allow this, maybe some silly health and safety nonense! We bought loads of our nappies and wraps off ebay back when we were in a world of millions of nappies.

The UserdNappies.co.uk is fantastic!!! I wish I had seen that before I put a load of ours on freecycle - although was nice to be able to give them to someone in the area and her newly born baby.
